We were very excited to host a large number of interested visitors at our booth and demo the benefits of using EagleEtch anti-glare glass products. Our new EagleEtch Tough, anti-glare aluminosilicate, glass was a huge hit.

Europtec Introduces EagleEtch® Tough, Acid Etched Anti-glare Aluminosilicate Glass

The demand for “strong” aluminosilicate glass in a non-glossy alternative for ruggedized and portable displays inspired EuropTec USA Inc. to create its newest product, EagleEtch^® Tough.

EagleEtch^® Tough offers the best in anti-glare properties in a much stronger scratch resistant glass type. The ultra-strong anti-glare glass is ideal for devices such as cell phones, tablets, ruggedized displays, and touchscreens.

In the past designers were limited and had to choose to focus on either reducing glare with standard soda-lime glass or using a high glare aluminosilicate glass that was much more rugged. EagleEtch^® Tough eliminates the tradeoffs by combining the aluminosilicate raw glass with EuropTec’s subtractive acid etching process, which creates a surface structure that disperses incident light, allowing the user to focus on the screen rather than the reflected images. This means that unlike coating or spray-on anti-glare solutions, EagleEtch^® Tough is able to withstand all downstream processing and still retain the benefits of the aluminosilicate glass.
